Today we honour the memory of 23-year-old American peace activist, RachelCorrie who on this day in 2003, was crushed to death by an “israeli” bulldozer while undertaking nonviolent direct action to protect the home of a Palestinian family in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, from demolition.
Rachel was a college student, activist & member of the

#InternationalSolidarityMovement

who travelled to Gaza during the Second Intifada. She was brutally murdered after being deliberately run over by a bulldozer operated by the
“israeli” occupation. Scores of homes had already been crushed; Corrie was one of eight American and British volunteers acting as human shields for local families.
