The US Central Command says the temporary pier will be removed from its anchored position in Gaza and towed back to occupied Asdood in the occupation state of Israel “due to expected high seas.”

It added that the decision “is necessary to ensure the temporary pier can continue to deliver aid in the future.”

The pier was previously repaired only one day before an Israeli-American attack on Al Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza, in which there were suspicions that it was used in the attack.
